Over 20,000 Diapers Collected to Support our Babies!

Youth & Family Services, Inc. (YFS) collected over 20,000 diapers with the help of community supporters in El Reno, Mustang, Piedmont, Watonga, and Yukon. The diapers, along with baby wipes and pull-ups, were collected to support children in YFS’ emergency shelter, foster care, and independent living programs.

The diapers were collected through YFS’ “Love A Baby” Diaper Drive, a drive that began in 2012 as a means to meet a critical need for diapers among children within the organization’s care. Diaper drop boxes were distributed throughout Canadian County at local businesses, organizations, schools, and churches who support Youth & Family Services, Inc. With the support of local communities, YFS’ goal for 800 packages of diapers has been reached.

“It is because of the generous support of our communities that we are able to meet critical needs for children and families. Every time we reach out to the community to ask for help, we are always met with an overwhelming response.”, say John Schneider, YFS Assistant Director, “We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to partner with community members that care about the needs of others!”

Youth & Family Services, Inc. (YFS) is a 501(c)3 charity that has been meeting critical community needs for children since 1974. They currently provide over 10 programs to serve youth in Canadian, Blaine, Kingfisher, and Oklahoma Counties. More than 2,600 individuals receive help from YFS annually.
